The Postcard is a Public Work of Art

Following on from January's blog, here's a quick interview I did with curator Jeremy Cooper on his exhibition 'The Postcard is a Public Work of Art', and in particular the work of artist Molly Rooke.

The exhibition runs until 1 March 2014 at Bökship on Cambridge Heath Road in London.

  1. So nice to see Jeremy Cooper talk about his passion for postcards and about Molly Rooke of whom I knew nothing. As a life long lover and maker of postcards myself I am delighted to find your excellent blog. I have a postcard in the Bokship show and several in Jeremy's excellent book . I shall indeed be back to peruse your blog further.

  3. Interesting subject. It reminded me that there was a postcard project at a show of student art majors at the University of Minnesota last year. It was a wire postcard rack with printed postcards. It said "Please take a postcard" so I did. It is just a white postcard with the words "Greeting from" in the upper left corner.

  6. The reason for a craftsman's postcard is to express a thought, tasteful and scholarly, particularly and solely as a postcard, that could be really postable, notwithstanding when made of wood, or bone, or steel. The shows are not only postcard-sized artistic creations, but rather they draw in independently with the frame and reason for the postcard.every door direct mail postcards printing
