Don't be frightened to tell me...

  1. Hello and congratulations of your new site.

While my own interest in postcards is centered on the image side (my postcard site is here) I have to admit that I always enjoy reading the messages, especially where they paint a picture of the era.

Often it's the shorter hurried messages and those written at times of war that have the greatest appeal. Messages written in code can also be intruiging, the code is usually easy to decipher and that process can itself can be fun.

Anyway, good luck with the site..

  2. Thanks very much for your best wishes. And for the link to your site. It's been great fun putting this site together.

And I completely agree. It tends to be the shorter more functional messages which are most interesting.

I think I'll put up a coded message next week. Have you got any good ones?
